RAWALPINDI: Railways Prem Union held a protest demonstration against ban on Geo Super and Aag channels on Tuesday. Addressing the participants of the protest rally, Quaid of Prem Union CBA Ishtiaq Assi said that Geo TV and Geo Super were being targeted for supporting truth and right, and Geo always supported the poor by exposing the corruption of the feudal lords. He said that Prem Union had demanded of the government to stop targeting Geo and restore forthwith mostly-watched sports channel Geo Super and youth channel Aag.
He notified the government that problems of labourers and rights of the poor could only be highlighted before the public through independent media. He said the government was following the policy of minting money and passing time and that was the reason that Geo and Geo Super were banned on exposing the corruption of the government. Ishtiaq Assi warned the government that the labourers of the railways would not bother in carrying out wheel jam if the government did not lift ban on Geo Super and Aag channels.
