Punjab government increases women employment quota

Punjab Government increased the Women Employment Quota, while all provincial departments also increased from 5 to 15 percent besides giving 3 years’ age relaxation of upper limit of women candidates.

Addressing a seminar of working women at Nusrat Fateh Ali Auditorium Art Council, which was jointly arranged by City District Govt and District Women Development Department, Begum Khalida Mansur MNA PML(N) said that Punjab Government has taken practical steps to facilitate the women folk by eliminating the deprivation and disappointment of this segment of the society.

DCO Muhammad Amin Ch while addressing the seminar highlighted the status and importance of women in the religion Islam and announced that a special counter would be established at DCO Office for facilitating, guidance and information of the women.

DEO(E) Waseema Zahida, Mrs Rana Afzal Khan, Managing Director Sarsabaz Foundation Dr Naveeda, journalist Miss Saira and other women speakers also spoke on the occasion and identified the issued and problems confronted by the working women.
