Public sector can place ads in newspapers
KARACHI- Muhammad Aslam Kazi, Acting Secretary General of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has announced that the Chief Executive of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf has lifted the ban which was imposed in 1997, on public sector organizations from participating in newspapers supplement through advertisements and sponsorship and allowed these organizations to henceforth place advertisements and sponsor newspaper supplements on the Independence Day, August 14 and Pakistan Day, March 23 as a special case.
The public sector corporations and companies as well as the government departments will now be able to place advertisements in newspaper supplements on the occasion of these two national day only, “from within the advertisement budgets.”
