Public furor over satanic film continues to arouse

PESHAWAR: Like other parts of the country, a large number of people hailing from different walks of life, including activists of different political parties, students of religious seminaries and business community, held separate protest demonstrations and rallies over the sacrilegious movie.

A big protest rally under the banner of Jamiat Itehadul Ulema (JIU), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, came out to main GT Road from Al-Markaz Islami, Jamaat-e-Islami’s provincial head office. The protest rally was led by JIU, KPK, President Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and JI, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, Acting Ameer Shabir Ahmad Khan, Naib Ameer Mushtaq Ahmad, Secretary Information Israrullah, advocate, and other local leaders. The protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the contemptuous film producers, actors, American priest and the US government.

Chanting full-throated slogans against the satanic filmmakers, the protesters termed the film a conspiracy of the US government against Muslims and Islam. Addressing the protestors, JI leader Shabir Ahmad Khan said that the conspirator America had concerns about its vested interests and national flag, but it did not have any care for the feelings and sentiments of the Muslims of the world. The US priest and film director insulted the Holy Quran and the last Messenger of almighty Allah Muhammad (PBUH), which is a challenge for the entire Muslim Ummah, he underlined. He added that even a very weak Muslim could never tolerate the blasphemy of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Holy Quran. He vowed not to hesitate even to sacrifices their lives and properties for the honour of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

“If the United States wants peace in the entire world, she would have to ban the contemptuous film and execute the culprit or hand over the satanic filmmaker to Muslims,” Khan maintained. He said that the sanctity of the revealed book Quarn and Allah’s all messengers including the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH, is the part of their beliefs. The JI leader said that in the garb of the freedom of expression, the real face of the US and its government was exposed, which is totally against the Muslims and Islam. He asked the government to cut off diplomatic ties with the US and expel the US ambassador forthwith, until the US does not ban the sacrilegious film and ensure exemplary punishment to the culprits.

The protestors also set-on fire the US national flag at the end of the protest gathering and later on dispersed peacefully.Meanwhile, condemning the profane movie, dozens of eunuchs also held a protest demonstration here on main Sher Shah Suri Road outside Peshawar Press Club on Friday. The protesters spearheaded by members of She-Male Association, Nili and Farzana, were holding placards and banners, demanding for exemplary punishment for those involved direct or indirect in the un-Islamic act. Amid slogans of “Allah-o-Akhbar” (God is Great), and anti-US and against the film, the protesters strongly condemned the making of sacrilegious movie, and demanding for remove from the website and make law at international level to avoid sacrilegious act in future.

The demonstrators urged the Muslim Ummah to show unity among their ranks to tackle with the growing challenges to Islam and entire Islamic World. “We will not tolerate disrespect the last holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)”, and will do everything to protect honor and dignity of Islam and the holy Prophet. Similarly, the Ulema of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter after the Friday prayer strongly condemned the blasphemy and asked the government to kick back the US diplomats. They urged upon the Muslim Ummah to unite against the conspiracies of the US ant its allies against Islam and Muslim. They vowed to render sacrifices of lives for this cause but would not tolerate insult of Islam and the Prophet (PBUH).
