PPI News Agency’s Chief Engineer passes away

Karachi, December 29, 2005: Ishaq Siddiqui, Chief Engineer of Pakistan Press International PPI News Agency passed away in Karachi on Thursday December 29. He was 75 and leaves behind three sons and five daughters. Ishaq Siddiqui joined PPI News Agency in July 1958 and played a pivotal role in the development of the premier news agency of the country over more than four decades. He was laid to rest Thursday evening in Korangi graveyard.

Meanwhile, Chairman PPI News Agency Owais Aslam Ali, while expressing profound grief over sad demise of Ishaq Siddiqui, highlighted his services as chief engineer of the news agency. A condolence meeting attended by PPI staff Thursday in Karachi in a resolution paid tributes to the services rendered by Ishaq Siddiqui to the news agency. They offered Fateha and conveyed condolences to members of bereaved family.
