Police take notice of Jirga decision of declaring minor Karo

SUKKUR: The DIG, Larkana, took notice of the Jirga which had declared a six-year-old boy Karo with a six-year-old girl.

Police sources said that Kalandar Bakhsh Samejo was declared Karo with Samina Samaijo in the limits of Thul at Village Ghahi Khan Jaffari. They said that Ghahi Khan Jaffari, an elder of the area, had held a Jirga in which he imposed a fine of Rs 300,000 on the parents of the boy besides ordering them to leave the village. They said that DIG Larkana Sanaullah Abbasi taking serious notice of the jirga had ordered the concerned SHO to register an FIR against the elder and arrest the Jirga conductor and participants.
