PIO fetes journalists
KARACHI: The Principal Information Officer of the Press Information Department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Islamabad Mr Rashid Ahmed hosted a luncheon here on Sunday in honour of the newspaper editors and senior journalists at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi.Mr Rashid Ahmed said that he was keen to meet the newspaper editors and senior journalists after taking over the assignment and renew acquaintance with them .
He said that he wants to promote a fair working relationship amongst the Press Information Department and the editors and journalists and electronic media.
Among those who attended the luncheon here this afternoon were Secretary General of the CPNE Mr. Wamiq Zuberi, Millat Editor Inquilab Matri, Aghaz Editor Anwer Farooqui, Nawai Waqt Editor Rafiq Khawar, Qaumi Akhbar Editor Mukhtar Aquil and others as also Bureau Chiefs of the New agencies who welcomed the new PIO to Karachi and looked forward to a sound working relationship between the press and the PID under his charge.
