Pemra to receive DTH licence applications till Sept 15
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Friday extended the date for filing of application for DTH licensing to September 15.
In its 16th meeting, Pemra also decided to go for a crackdown on illegal Indian DTH. The forum gave approval to ITEL Services Ltd for mobile TV license.
Moreover, it approved issuance of licence to Sindh Language Authority, Hyderabad; Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro and Traffic Police Multan for setting up non-commercial FM radios. Permission for landing rights for Cinemachi Kids was also given.
Pemra Chairman Absar Alam chaired the meeting, which was attended by Information Secretary Saba Mohsin, Secretary Interior Arif Ahmad Khan and Chairman PTA Ismail Shah.
