Pearl’s killers won’t go unpunished
ISLAMABAD- The Pakistan government has made it clear that those responsible for the kidnapping and the murder of US journalist, Daniel Pearl, would not go unpunished.
The government officials say that they are fully trying to trace those responsible for the murder of Daniel Pearl.
Federal Interior Secretary Tasneem Noorani told BBC that the killers would not escape their arrest, and that all clues were being scrutinised.
The officials said they knew four persons who had kidnapped Daniel Pearl, but the US embassy was trying to identify those who had kidnapped Pearl, and that the Pakistan government had also joined them in this task.
Daniel Pearl’s widow Marian said in a statement that her husband was murdered very brutally and cowardly, adding that the kidnappers did neither defeat nor demoralise her husband.
Marian Pearl said she expected that her spouse remained determined against the menace of terrorism till last.
