Pakistani to act in Hollywood
NEW YORK – A Pakistani journalist, Agha Zulfiqar, has been included in the cast of $80 million Hollywood film titled “The Interpreter” to perform role of a Pakistani diplomat.
The film is currently under production in New York, where its shooting is taking place in the UN headquarters.
It is for the first time that permission has been granted to use the UN premises for filming. The general assembly and the Security Council halls have been extensively used.
The film, directed by Sidney Pollack, is a suspense – thriller and is expected to be released by end-November.
