Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) concerned at attack on Business Recorder office
KARACHI- A hurriedly-called meeting of the Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) held on day passed the following resolution.
“The meeting of Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Advertising Association noted with serious concern the attack on the office of Daily Business Recorder Karachi and condemned the revived phenomena of violence against the Press. It resolved that the government should take adequate measures for protection to the lives and properties of newspapers, journalists, and newspapers employees.” The meeting further resolved to support the demand of All Newspaper Society (APNS) to assess the damages undergone by Business Recorder by the impartial assessors and to provide adequate compensation not only to newspaper for restitution of damages and burnt assets but also to the journalists, whose vehicles are damaged because of the violence.”
