No room for non-professionals, says Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television (PTV)
ISLAMABAD – There will be no room for non-professional- or casual approach in PTV said Managing Director of PTV Yousaf Baig Mirza while inaugurating the joint PTV-UNDP workshop on programme production.
If you have skills, the people he said would come to you. PTV, he said would have to be competitive. PTV, he said was looking for fresh talent. PTV’s doors, the MD said are open for people who have the ability and will to serve the people. The production business he said was booming and providing opportunities for new comers. Influx of new channels, he said would bring up new challenges.
Thanking the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) the MD hoped that their relationship would continue to provide better professionals in this field. Representative of UNDP Farman Sabih, Course Director and Aga Nasir also addressed the inaugural ceremony. The course will continue for four days.
The participants have been selected from all centres of PTV along with nominees of UNDP from private sector. This course also covers UN sponsored “New broadcast management workshop” for two weeks and AIBE% sponsored “Writing for children’s programme workshop” for two weeks. Guest speakers lecturers include Haseena Moeen, Asghar Nadeem, Shireen Pasha, Moneeza Hashmi, Kamaluddin, Khawaja Najmul Hassan and Nasir A Mirza.
