Newspaper withdraws allegations against Aitzaz
ISLAMABAD: The ‘Daily Times’ has withdrawn its allegation against Senator Aitzaz Ahsan. In a clarification, newspaper stated that without reservations that neither the Senator nor his wife had ever obtained any quota of LPG from the government.
The report pointed out that Bushra Aitzaz Ahsan carried on the business of LPG marketing as a purely private enterprise with no favour from any government, says a press release. Senator Aitzaz Ahsan had served a notice of defamation on the newspaper for alleging that he and his wife had obtained a quota of LPG from the Musharraf regime. After the clarification, Senator Ahsan instructed his attorneys not to pursue the matter further.
