Musharraf’s book banned in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH:Administration in the Indian state of Chandigarh on Friday banned Hindi version of President Pervez Musharraf’s book “In the Line of Fire” as it had allegedly distorted the map of India.
In a notification, it said the map of India published in the book did not conform to the map of the country as published by the Survey of India, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
It has also come to notice that the Survey of India had reported the book showed the Line of Control(LoC) “wrongly”. Indian territory was shown as belonging to Pakistan and China, which are not in conformity with existing boundaries of the country, an official spokesman said. The book is published by Rave Media of New Delhi.
