Minor girl missing for seven months

JACOBABAD, Sept 23: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz took out a procession here on Sunday to mount pressure on police to recover six-year old girl Fazila Sarki, who had been kidnapped from Garhi Hassan in the Thul area seven months ago.

The procession, led by Liaquat Sarki, taken out from near the JSQM office at Rehbar Chowk and after marching through different roads of city, ended outside the press club.

The participants were carrying banners and placards and raising slogans against the police.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sarki, Mushtaq Khoso and Agha Nasrullah Golo said that seven months had passed but the minor girl had not been recovered because she belonged to a poor family.

The JSQM activists and members of the girl’s family appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of police failure to recover the kidnapped baby.

FIRING: A youth, Abdul Hakeem Khoso, 20, has been killed and two others have been injured in a firing incident said to have been caused by a dispute over a theft incident.

Abdul Hakeem, Aachar Khoso and Rahim Bux Khoso were sitting in a village restaurant in the Thul area when three armed persons reached there and opened pistol fire o them. As a result Abdul Hakeem died on the spot and his companions were injured.

The police took the body and those injured to a Thul hospital where the body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.

The deceased’s brother, Rahim Bux Khoso, has lodged an FIR against Ahsan Khoso, Mumtaz Khoso, Shahnawaz and Rafiq Khoso with the Karim Bux police. No arrest was made till the filing of this report.
