Media has truly become fourth pillar of state: Faisal Sabzwari

KARACHI : Sindh Minister for Youth Affair Syed Faisal Ali Sabzwari said that in present scenario, media has really become the fourth pillar of state.

There is a great need for capable and trained young journalists and the media training would prove fruitful for the professional affairs of the journalist. He said this during ceremony in which memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Department of Youth Affairs Sindh and Institute of Journalism in Art Council of Pakistan on Thursday. Director Youth Affairs Sindh Khurshid Ali Sheikh, Executive Director Institute of Journalism Noman Adil, President Arts Council Ahmed Shah and others were present during ceremony. Faisal Sabzwari said that the major problem for youth is unemployment, adding that media is the only institute in which most opportunities are available presently.

He said that the training institute would be very helpful for the progress of the journalists. President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Sheikh, on this occasion, said that the basic idea behind the training is to give upcoming journalist a feel of professional training so that they can perform their duties more effectively. He said that the department took every possible measure to provide youth with a chance to perform well in every field as courses are being provided in different faculties whereas the media cannot be ignored. Executive Director Institute of Journalism Noman Adil said that they want to nurture journalist who can give justice to their responsibilities and make a name for themselves in the field of journalism. Later on, MoU was signed between Director Youth Affairs Sindh Khurshid Ali Sheikh and Executive Director Institute of Journalism Noman Adil. The courses would began from the third week of this month.’
