Malik ordered to delete Rao Shakil’s name from ECL
RAWALPINDI: DG FIA Wasim Ahmad on Monday said that an investigation team had recorded the statement of Interior Minister Rehman Malik regarding the Haj scandal.
Talking to Geo News in Islamabad on Monday, the DG FIA said Rehman Malik, in his statement, said that in exercise of his powers, he as the interior minister had ordered to delete the name of former DG Haj Rao Shakeel from the ECL.
The DG FIA said the recorded statement of the interior minister would be submitted to the Supreme Court today (Tuesday). He said that the FIA had also recorded the statement of IT Consultant Zain Sukhera in the Haj scandal. However, he has rejected the charges.
