Journalists’ kidnapping Police remain ignorant

BAD1N, Aug 26: A big protest and processions were taken out in different towns and cities of Badin district and strike was also observed here in Talhar on Sunday.

It was carried out against the kidnapping of Haji Khan Lashari, the president of Talhar Press Club, vice president Ammar Singh and four other people with in the jurisdiction of Tando Ghulam Hyder.

All shops and business centres remained closed in Talhar.
Another procession was also taken out by the journalists of Badin Press Club, Electronics Media Association, District Union of journalists, Sindhi Sahafi Saigat in front of Badin Press Club which was led by the President Allah Rakhio Naeem, Muneer Hussain Khuwaja, Razzaque Khatti, Abdul Latif Zargar, Shafi Muhammad Memon, Tanveer Arain, Abdul Majeed Mallah, Khalid Abbasi, Abdul Shakoor Memon and others. The protestors staged a sit-in and observed a token hunger strike and blocked the road for two hours.

They raised slogans for the recovery of the kidnapped journalists and four other people and showed their concern on the role of police, as they remained ignorant in this matter.

They said it was injustice with journalists that police did not take any action all these days to recover the kidnapped people.

They warned if the district administration failed to recover the kidnapped journalists and other four people than nationwide protests would be carried out.
