Journalist, son injured in attack
HYDERABAD- Abdul Hafeez Abid, bureau chief of a Karachi-based daily Ummat, and his son were injured when an unidentified man opened fire at them outside AI-Raheem shopping centre here on Sunday night. Mr Abid had come out of his office and was about to leave for home with son Shahid when they came under attack, witnesses said.
Both were taken to the civil hospital where the condition of Mr Abid, who had received three bullets, was stated to be serious.
