Josh Literary Conference’ on 22nd
ISLAMABAD: The Josh Literary Foundation will arrange ‘Josh Literary Conference’ on February 22 to pay homage to the services of great revolutionary poet Josh Malihabadi on his 31st death anniversary. The conference will be arranged in collaboration with the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL). Prominent poets and scholars, including Agha Nasir, Syed Mansoor Aqil, Dr Shaheen Mufti, Abida Taqi, Dr Ravish Nadeem and Dr Yahya Ahmad Khan, would read papers on the life and works of Josh Malihabadi. Senator Jehangir Badar would preside over the function, while Minister Dr Farooq Sattar would be the chief guest. Grandson of Josh Malihabadi, Farrukh Jamal Malihabadi would be also present on the occasion. Death anniversary of the great poet would be celebrated in various cities of the country, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawer. Several ceremonies, including seminars, memorial meetings and discussion forums, would be organised to commemorate the great poet and apprise the younger generations of different aspects of his professional and personal life.
