Islamic Film Week: Malaysia invites Pakistani films

LAHORE: The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), an agency under the Ministry of Unity, Culture, Art and Heritage of Malaysia, has invited Pakistani films to be screened during the Islamic Film Week, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in November, 2009.

According to the Pakistan High Commission, Kuala Lumpur, the films contributed by Islamic countries around the world, would be shown at selected cinemas houses in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during November, 2009. The statement further adds that the screening format could be in DVD, 35mm film reel or Beta cam SP / Digital.

The Pakistan High Commission in Malaysia has requested all interested parties to either directly co ordinate with the FINAS, Malaysia, at Tel: 00603-41041344, Fax:00603-41068509, or with the Pakistan High Commission at Tel:00603-21647014, Fax:00603-21645958 to co ordinate their entries in the Islamic Film Week. According to the High Commission, this is a unique opportunity for Pakistani film makers to introduce the rich, cultural, social and religious values of Pakistan to the Malaysians and to other participants of the Islamic Films Week, from around the world..
