IG sets up human rights cell
KARACHI(PPI) – Inspector General Sindh Police Ziaul Hassan Khan has established the Human Rights Cell at the Central Police Office, Karachi in order to combat human rights violation, particularly atrocities against women and children and honor killings.
The cell, headed by Additional IC Investigation Zaffar Ahmed Farooqui, will monitor the human rights violations across the province and ensure the implementation of IG’s directives to the heads of Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur region police against such crimes.
The Human Rights Cell will also ensure immediate redressal of public complaints besides quick action against the criminals.
