Geo Super to telecast live National T20 Championship
KARACHI: The National T20 Cricket Championship will commence tomorrow (Sunday) at the National Stadium Karachi and the country’s first sports channel Geo Super will telecast all the matches live.
All the star cricketers of the country will be seen in action in the event which will end on October 2. Fourteen teams including Afghanistan’s team will fight for the title, having prize money of Rs2.5 million.
The 14 teams have been divided into four groups. Two groups have four teams each, while two groups have three teams each.
Group A includes Lahore Eagles, Karachi Zebras, Abbottabad Falcons and Quetta Bears; Group B includes Rawalpindi Rams, Multan Tigers, Faisalabad Wolves and Afghan Cheetahs; Group C includes Lahore Lions, Sialkot Stallions and Hyderabad Hawks; while Group D includes Karachi Dolphins, Islamabad Leopards and Peshawar Panthers.
A total of 21 matches will be played in the tournament. Both the semi-finals will be played on October 1, while the final will be played on October 2.
Expert opinions and views will be presented in Geo Super programme ‘Super Eye’ before and after the matches.
