Editor of Ibrat psses away

HYDERABAD, May 25 2006: Khair Muhammad Khokhar , veteran journalist and editor of Sindhi daily, Ibrat, died here on Tuesday at the age of after a protracted illness.
He suffered from diabetes an was recently admitted to a local hospital. Born in 1934, the late Khokhar remained a bachelor. He atarted his career in 1951 from daily Karavan. He joined the Ibrat as news editor in 1958 and was later made its editor.He served the paper for 48 years.

A large number of colleagues and other people, including Qazi Asad Abid, Qazi Azm, attended his funeral. He was laid to rest in the Baban Shah graveyard. The Soyem will be held at his residence in Khokhar Mohalla on Thursday (May 25) . the Hyderabad press club on May 24 held fateha khawani for the departed soul.
