DNA test of rape accused proposed

PESHAWAR: A high-level inquiry committee of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Tuesday recommended the DNA test of the victim and the accused persons in the alleged kidnapping and rape of Uzma Ayub, a young girl from Karak.

It also recommended the arrest of the police officials concerned, sources told The News Tuesday. The sources said the committee headed by Home Secretary Azam Khan and comprising the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police (Investigation) Nisar Khan Tanoli and Kohat Commissioner Sahibzada

Mohammad Anis submitted its report to Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti in the alleged kidnapping and rape of Uzma Ayub who claimed to have been picked up last year after the police raided her house.
