Call for withdrawal of cases against journalist
SUKKUR- Journalists of Sukkur have demanded to withdraw the fake case registered by Shikarpur Police against the reporter of private Sindhi TV Channel.
An emergent meeting of the journalists belongs to electronic and print media was held on Tuesday, under the Chairmanship of Club President Khawaja Jawaid Ahmed, attended by General Secretary Jan Muhammad Mahar, Liaquat Laghari, Umer Soomro, Khalid Bhaban, Arif Memon and other office bearers and members.
The club members criticized registration fake case by Shikarpur Police against the reporter of private Sindhi TV Channel Imdad Bozdar and demanded the higher police authorities to withdraw the fake case and take departmental action against the police, otherwise the journalists of Sukkur warned to stage protest and observe hunger strike on Friday.
