Business Recorder House attacked; two injured
Business Recorder LogoUnknown people riding two motorcycles opened fire on Business Recorder House, which houses the offices of Business Recorder and Aaj News, on Monday evening, injuring two persons. They were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where condition of one injured is stated to be critical. According to eye-witnesses, two persons armed with assault weapons fired volleys of shots on the Business Recorder House.
A security guard and Press worker received multiple gun-shot injuries. The assailants escaped without facing any type of resistance in a highly crowded commercial neighbourhood Guru Mandir. The tragic incident created panic in the neighbourhood in general and the media house in particular, which previously came under attack on May 12, 2007 on the occasion of the then dysfunctional Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry’s visit to Karachi.
