Bannu radio station launched
BANNU, June 27 2005: Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that 60 radio stations and 37 television channels will be launched in the country soon.
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Bannu station of Radio Pakistan here on June 26.
This is the 29th radio station of the PCB in the country and sixth in the NWFP. Its transmission will cover the southern districts of the province and parts of the North and South Waziristan agencies.
NWFP Information Minister Asif Iqbal Daudzai and MNA Maulana Naseeb Ali Shah also spoke on the occasion.
