Baacha questions wisdom behind journalist’s kidnapping
PESHAWAR- Barrister Baacha, known social and political figure has condemned the kidnapping and detention of The Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl and termed it against the norms of a civilized and responsible society.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, he questioned the wisdom and propriety of stooping so low to the level of American who had given all pretence to decency civility and humanity while dealing with the children of a lesser god.
Barrister Baacha has opined, that the detention of Pearl apart, American and British media including the holy of holies had on the whole played extremely dirty while reporting the events from Afghanistan. He said the blatant lies, ugly distortion, shameful bias and highly provocative reporting by most of the big names in the American and British print and electronic media had exposed the myth of their accuracy and objectivity
