AIOU workshop for student journalists
Islamabad–A three-day training workshop on ‘Reporting Gender and Social Development Issues’ for student journalists will be held from July 28 (today).
The Student journalist from Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and South Punjab will participate in the training workshop being arranged by Allama Iqbal Open University’s Mass Communications Department in collaboration with ActionAid.
Member National Assembly and former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sherry Rehman will be the chief guest on the occasion, said a new release issued here.
Vice Chancellor AIOU, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Sangi will deliver inaugural address while leading experts on media, gender and social development will facilitate the participants to understand the challenges and scope of development journalism in the country.
Aisha Siddiqa, a renowned columnist and political analyst; Farzana Bari, an expert on gender studies; Professor Siraj, Chairman AIOU Communications Department; Saeed Minhas, a prominent journalist and Adnan Rehmat, a leading expert on intermedia will deliver the lectures to the participants.
