Stay barring ad payment APNS asked to file application
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) and All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) to file applications in the court for abolishing the stay order issued to prevent payments of billion of rupees to media houses on account of official advertisements.
The instructions were issued by Supreme Court judge Jawwad S Khawaja while chairing a two-member bench during the hearing of the case regarding use of secret funds by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Justice Jawwad S Khawaja in his remarks said that it was a matter of great importance and it should be decided without further delay.
