Harassment by boy forces girl to commit suicide in exam hall
HARIPUR: A young girl appearing in examination committed suicide in the examination hall with a pistol after reportedly facing harassment at the hands of a boy, police officials said.
Natasha Habib, a student of class nine, had allegedly brought a pistol in her purse to the examination hall. Police officials quoted the teachers and students as saying that she suddenly took out the pistol and fired with it on her head.
Natasha died on the spot and her body was shifted to hospital from where it was handed over to her family for burial. Reports said the girl left a note seeking forgiveness from her mother for committing suicide. She said the reason for committing suicide was harassment by a boy.
The girl had written a message on one of her hands. On the other hand, she had written a mobile phone number, which was reportedly of the boy who used to call and harass her. The police officials said they were investigating the incident.
