Exhibition showcases rare Quranic manuscripts
KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Culture Saussi Paleejo on Sunday inaugurated an exhibition of rare manuscripts of the holy Quran at the National Museum of Pakistan. Addressing on the occasion, the minister said after the passage of the 18th Amendment, many assets had been handed over to the provinces and the provincial government of Sindh had different programmes for their repair, renovation and preservation.
She said the national museum and Wazir Mansion had also been given to the Sindh Culture Department and the repair and renovation work would soon be executed.
She said that Sindh Cultural Centre was being established in Karachi, where exhibitions would also be organised.
The exhibition of the rare copies of the holy Quran will remain open from August 13 to till end of August.
