ISLAMABAD — To recognise journalists’ efforts for creating awareness among masses on health issues TheNetwork for Consumer Protection, a non- profit organisation, organised an award and certificate giving ceremony here on Monday.

The awards were given for best reporting on issues including Iodine Deficiency Disorders and promotion and effective implementation of Breastfeeding Ordinance.

The review committee awarded first prize to Fozia Azam of TheNation for best reporting while Yawar Abbas of APP and Umer Daraz of Dawn News TV stood second and third respectively. The Chief Guest, Adnan Rehmat, Director, Inter Media presented awards to the journalists.
