KARACHI: Radio Pakistan has postponed till January the national awards ceremony scheduled for next month, the Karachi station director told PPI on Thursday.

Haroon Jaffrey explained that the board of directors of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation have decided the postponement of the ceremony because of the inability of the provincial headquarters of hold their own award ceremonies, which precede the national event in Islamabad. It will now take place after Eid.

Radio Pakistan’s “Drama Festival,” coming after a break of 10 years, is beginning on schedule on Sunday, Jaffery said.
