KARACHI: The chief reporter of Associated Press Pakistan, Karachi, died in a road accident late on Monday night.
Khusnood Ali Shaikh was hit by a vehicle when he was crossing a road near Darul Sehat Hospital in Gulistan-i-Jauhar. He suffered multiple fractures and died in a private hospital. Mr Shaikh had earlier served as press secretary to former Sindh governor Kamal Azfar.
Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is an independent media documentation and training center, non-governmental organization committed to promoting and defending freedom of expression. PPF was established in 1967 as a non-profit organization and continued working until 1974, when it had to suspend operations due to the political environment then prevailing in the country.
