Young Qari captivates viewers on Geo TV
KARACHI: “Pehchan Ramazan” the most successful and historic Geo TV programme continued on its 8th day where the child reciters of the Holy Quran (Qari) who had come from Gujranwala on the invitation of renowned broadcaster Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain and astonished thousands of TV viewers.
Six-year old Qari Muhammad bin Usman recited the Holy Quran copying the voice and manner of Imam Kaaba Sheikh Abdur Rahman Alsadees and other eminent world fame Qaris and got appreciation from the viewers and participants of the programme.At this, Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain lauded the God-given gift of the young Qari and hoped that if this child was properly groomed, he could become the ‘Imam of Kaaba’ in future.
Two other Quranic Computer specialist children Muhammad Salahudin and Muhammad Rawaha also performed very well before the participants by replying to their questions about Quran both in Urdu and English. The participants of the programme were amazed at their quick wit and intelligence. These minor Qaris who knew the Holy Quran in 5 world languages had come from renowned Islamic International Institute Gujranwala. Hafiz Muhammad Usman, founder of the institute while talking to Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain told him that more than 500 local and foreign scholars have termed their institute one of the best centers in the world for Hifze Quran.
During the telecasting of the programme one Syed Muhammad Ali announced to bear all marriage expenditures of acid burn injured Miss Kanwal and Ashar. Meanwhile on appeal of Dr Amir Liaquat philanthropists continued helping the downtrodden and needy ones. In this regard Dr Zafar announced to bear expenditure of operation of heart patient child Muhammad Ali while Ms Hira Mahmood and Ms Shahida announced to donate Rs1 lakh each for the needy.
In the meantime hundreds of thousands of people thronged the Geo TV to attend the 8th “Pehchan Ramazan” programme. More than 30 viewers won prizes while giving correct answers of their questions pertaining to the Holy Quran. Eminent Qaris Waheed Zafar Qasmi, Imran Sheikh Attari and Ahmad Raza Qadri remained present during the programme from Sehar to Iftar and recited the Holy Quran in their enthralling voice.
