Yet another victim of honour killing
LAHORE – A teen-aged girl was strangulated to death early Tuesday by her brother and nephew over the suspicion of illicit relaÂtions in Barki area. Resident of village Ludhar, Bushra (18) had illicit relations with a youth of the same locality. Her brother Yaqub Masih often advised her to mend her ways but she always gave deaf ears to the formers’s warnings.
Yaqub Masih and his nephew strangulated Bushra early Tuesday and fled from the scene. The police have regÂistered the case on the comÂplaint of the father of the deÂceased named Soorat Masih and are raiding for the arrest of the accused.
Governess dies mysteriously: A governess died mysteriously at a Gulberg hospital on Tuesday.Resident of Jhang, Maryum, 22 got employment as a governÂess at a Gulberg hospital around three years back. She had gone on Eid holidays and returned on her duty three days back.
On Tuesday she fell unconscious and died some time later. The police suspect either she might have been died due to heart attack or have been poisoned to death.
1However, the Chalib Market Police have removed the corpse to the morgue for autopsy to as certain the actual cause of her death.
Crushed by train: A cyclist was crushed to death by a speeding train in Gulbahar Colony, Culberg Ill..The police said that an unidentified youth (24) was passing over the railway crossing when he was crushed to death by a speeding train Monday night. He was admitted to general Hospital where he expired on Tuesday.
