Writers asked to promote Sindhi literature
HYDERABAD (APP), June 19 2006: Sindhi writers should focus on producing books on biographies and other important issues to promote Sindhi literature. Director Sindhology and eminent writer Shaukat Hussain Shoro said this while speaking at the launching ceremony of Rasool Bux Daras’s book “Sindh Heeran Khan” here at the main hall of Sindhi Language Authority.
He said Sindhi literature lacked biographies, which should be focused by the writers of present era. He lauded efforts of writer of the book for portraying the brief biography of various prominent figures of Sindh. He said writer Rasool Bux Daras is playing his due role in promoting Sindhi literature. Chairman Sindhi Language Authority and well known drama writer Abdul Qadir Junejo said the book of Daras is precious addition in Sindhi literature. The writer Rasool Bux Daras said he portrayed the biographies of those hidden characters of the history that played crucial role for the society.
