Women sent to shelter home for 15 days

PESHAWAR, January 28,2005: District and Sessions Judge Hayat Ali Shah here on January 27 again sent Musarat Bibi to “Meyra Ghar” women shelter home for 15 days after she refused to go with her husband, Iftikhar Hussain.

On January 27 Musarrat Bibi appeared before the court of DSJ and while recording her statement before the court she denied to accompany her husband as he, her husband, along with her step father, conspired against her mother, Hidayat Bibi and trapped her in a fake case. She added that her husband, Iftikhar Hussain has destroyed all family life and due to him her mother is in jail, her younger sister is with her in ‘Meyra Ghar’ shelter home while her brother is wondering. She requested the court that she was not in a position to decide till the acquittal of her mother.

District and Sessions Judge Hayat Ali Shah after completion of the statement of the Musarrat Bibi sent her again to Meyra Ghar shelter home for another 15 days. Earlier a habeas corpus petition was field under section 491 Cr. PC by Hidayat Bibi, mother of Musarrat Bibi, requested that her daughter was illegal confined by her husband, Iftikhar Hussain.

Noor Alam Khan Advocate appeared before the court on behalf of Hidayat Bibi and stated that Musarrat Bibi married to one Iftikhar Hussain last year but due to some dispute her daughter returned to her mother’s house after three months.

The counsel stated that a day ago Iftikhar Ali came to the house of the appellant and forcibly took her daughter, Musarrat Bibi.

Later on the direction of the court Musarrat Bibi was produced before the DSJ and she was sent to the shelter home after her refusal for going with any one.
