‘Women need courage, bravery to bring change’
KARACHI: Women face hurdles in a male dominated society, and change was complicated, but not impossible.
These views were expressed by prominent personalities, including Muttahida Qaumi Movement former MNA Shugufta Sadiq, MNA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, Barrister Shahid Jamil, Kosar Asif, Dr Naila and others while addressing the event titled ‘Beauty with Brain’ organised by The Marketects Club (TMC), held here at National Museum of Pakistan, on Sunday.
Shugufta Sadiq mentioned that women should face any situation with courage and bravery to get rid of discrimination. To change society, women need to change themselves and be stronger.
On the occasion, awards were also given to women who have made achievements in their professions. Awards were given to Fatima, Bushra, Humaira, Marium Asif and Khalda.
Speaking on the occasion, programme orgainser Anum Shakeel said, “The aim of orgnaising this programme was to get some benefits from the experiences of women, who are prominent in their professional fields.”
