Women Hindko conference to be held on September 24
Gandhara Hindko Academy (GHA) has announced to hold the 2nd Women Hindko conference at Archive Hall Peshawar on September 24 (Saturday). During the historic conference, eminent women scholars, writers and researchers will present their latest papers regarding promotion of Hindko language, literature and culture. Professor Dr Samina Zahid, and Dr Tahzeen Gul will be the convenor and deputy convener of the conference respectively.
Hina Tahir of the Gandhara Hindko Academy, will be the program co-ordinator Dr Samina Zahid, the conference convenor, while explaining the objectives said this conference is being organised for promotion of Hindko language, literature and culture. She expressed the hope that a large number of women would be participated in the event. She said the purpose of this conference is to promote Hindko language, literate and culture. She said it is worth mentioning that that all participants, host, guests and speakers will be the women at the conference.
During the conference, she said female students of various schools, will present tableau and Hindko songs, to highlight the significance of the Hindko language. It is pertinent to mentioning here that Gandhara Hindko Board (GHB), and Gandhara Hindko Academy (GHA) in collaboration with various public sector universities, had organised a first-ever women Hindko conference in the province, in which locals as well foreign media participated.
The second women Hindko conference is being organising on directives of GHB Chairman, Ejaz Ahmad Quershi, Senior Vice Chairman, Dr Adnan Gul, General Secretary Muhammad Ziauddin, and other executive members, in order to appreciate the remarkable achievement and efforts of women through promotion of Hindko language in the province.
