Woman sent to Darul Aman

KHAIRPUR: A 17-year-old woman was sent to Darul Aman by a court after she escaped from home, fearing that her husband might kill her. Seema approached the Khairpur DSP and requested that she be produced before the district and sessions court as she feared for her life.

After recording her statement, the court ordered the police to take her to the Darul Aman, Sukkur. Seema, a resident of Thari Mirwah, said her father Ariz Muhammad Shar had sold her to Muhammad Laiq of the Salim Shar Village two years ago despite her strong opposition. She alleged that her husband had declared her a Kari and attempted to kill her but she escaped unhurt.
