Woman hurt by sister’s lover dies in LGH
LAHORE: A mother of three succumbed to her injuries in Lahore General Hospital on Sunday two days after she was shot at and wounded by the lover of her married sister near Niazi Chowk, Kacha Kamahan Road, in Factory Area.
Rukhsana Bibi, 35, wife of Khalid Mehmood, was shot at and injured by Muhammad Fraz who had developed relations with RukhsanaÂ’s married sister Zubaida Bibi, mother of a child.
Fraz, Khalid and Zubaida were also killed in the same incident by the firing of Muhammad Wakeel, brother of Khalid and husband of Zubaida. Zubaida, after quarrelling with her husband Wakeel of Bahawalnagar, had shifted to her sister’s house and developed relations with Fraz of Ichhra.
Wakeel along with brother-in-law Nadeem (brother of two women) visited the house of his brother Khalid, where his wife was staying along with her sister, and asked her to return Bahawalnagar but she refused.
The body was shifted for a post-mortem examination.
Cantonment division SP Investigation Abdur Rab said no arrest had been made by the police team dispatched to Bahawalnagar. He said Factory Area investigation in-charge Mian Abid was leading the team.
The SP said Rukhsana in her statement before death stated that only Wakeel opened fire on her husband, sister and outsider Fraz. She further stated that Fraz opened fire on her when she asked him to discontinue relations with Zubaida.
