Woman, daughter killed in Karachi
KARACHI: An aged woman and her widow daughter were gunned down in Qaimkhani Colony on Friday night allegedly by a family friend after she turned down a marriage proposal for the latter, police said.
They said the firing incident occurred inside the home of Raeesa Khatoon, where the accused Khush Dil jumped in with an aide and fired multiple shots at both women.
The 58-year-old Raeesa Khatoon died on the spot while her 27-year-old daughter Uzma sustained serious wounds and died while being shifted to the Civil Hospital.
