Wage Award implemented by Labour Ministry
ISLAMABAD – A spokesman of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has stated that the Ministry has always tried to act as a bridge between the publishers and the working journalists and has repeatedly tried to resolve the issues through dialogue between the two stakeholders.
The spokesman said although the Wage Board Award is implemented through Ministry of Labour and Manpower but the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has always been willing to help both sides aimed at resolving the disputes amicably.
The spokesman added that at no stage the Ministry of Information or Secretary Information suggested doing away with the Wage Board Award itself as stated in the APNS statement.
