Condemning the brutality and atrocity of Punjab police on marchers and media persons in Islamabad, a dozen activists of Insaf Students Federation (ISF), a affiliated students of body of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf staged a protest demonstration here outside Peshawar Press Club on Monday.

The protest was headed by ISF district president Bilal Afridi along with a dozen of student’s activists from government college Peshawar and other education institutions. They protesters were holding placards and banner, inscribed with slogans against Punjab police and PML-led federal government for yesterday brutal episode on Constitutional Avenue in federal capital Islamabad.

Talking to media persons, Bilal Afridi said the Punjab police use of force against the peaceful demonstrators of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek strongly condemnable and termed it as worst kind of atrocity and outrageous act. He made it clear that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif should keep in mind that the force policy will not discourage and freeze the determination for the PTI and PAT protesters, vowed they would stay till the oust of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and would further move forward.

He warned government for dire consequences, if it registers FIR under terrorism act, against Pakistan Tehreek-i_Insaf chief Imran Khan and PAT leader Allama Dr Tahir ul Qadri. PTI students activists also deplored the Punjab attack on media persons teams, which is performing professional obligations, and held the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif responsible for this gruesome episode in Islamabad, and demanding to immediate arrest culprit and bring them to justice.

Meanwhile, activists of Pasban also held a protest demonstration against the yesterday Punjab police shelling against the PTI and PAT workers and mercilessly beating of journalists teams during sit-ins coverage in Islamabad. The protest was led by the organisation provincial president Qari Masahib Gul along with other activists. Addressing the protesters, he condemned the use of force against the peaceful demonstrators by the Punjab police and demanded the government to stop lodging force and take action against those police personnel’s behind yesterday brutal episode in the Islamabad.
