US court dismisses writ against Pakistan Television (PTV) telecast

ISLAMABAD- The American Court of District Columbia (USA) ordered to dismiss the petition against telecast of Pakistan Television programmes in USA.

The petition was moved by the Scandinavian Satellite System of Raja Nasir Hussain and his business partner Farooq Bajwa, seeking to bar PTV to telecast its programmes in USA/North America. The District Court of Columbia finally dismissed it with prejudice.

PTV launched its defense through its agents in USA. After the proceedings of more than six months, the decision of the court was finally announced in favor of PTV. The claim of Raja Nasir Hussain was dismissed that he holds the rights of PTV programmes.

Raja Nasir Hussain and his business partner Farooq Bajwa have already been replied by the ministry of Information, Government of Pakistan, endorsing the decision of PTV to go to North America in collaboration with Prime TV.

In the past, both of them sent piles of baseless acquisitions and false claims of Chief Executive Office. They are also regularly sending negative stories in Pakistani press, damaging the image of PTV and its management.

PTV will now be perusing its transmission to North America as planned and finally the expatriates in North America will have the sight of long awaited programmes of PTV, which were delayed just because of the vested interests of these two people.
