Urdu version of Benazir’s book hits market
ISLAMABAD (January 05 2009): The Urdu translation of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s last book, “Democracy, Islam, Reconciliation and the West” has been published under auspices of Benazir Bhutto Democratic and Leadership Studies Center.
The book was translated by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) General Secretary Jehangir Badar under the title of “Jamhoriyat, Islam, Mafahmat aur Magrib” and the translated version in Pakistani national language has been widely welcomed by those who could not read English well.
In her last book Benazir had elaborated aspects of world affairs including the cultural encounters, enlightened moderation in Islam, democracy and the national as well as the international politics comprehensively.
