Urdu Uni to hold national conference on Media, Elections 2013 and New Democratic Government
The fourth national conference on “Media, Elections 2013 and New Democratic Government”, by Department of Mass Communication Federal Urdu University for Arts Sciences and Technology (FUUAST) Karachi will be held on June 4, 2013 here in a local hotel Karachi.
The Inaugural Session will be presided by Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal the Vice Chancellor Federal Urdu University and Ms Asma Jahangir, Ex-President Supreme Court Bar Association will be the Chief Guest of the ceremony and Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser, Vice Chancellor University of Karachi will preside the concluding session.
I.A. Rehman representative Human Rights Commission, will preside the first session “New Democratic Govt. and Media” and Senior Journalist and Analyst Ms Sheen Farukh, University of Karachi Dr Jaffer Ahmed, Dr. Tahir Masood, BBC Urdu Wussatullah Khan, Daily Dawn Fahimuz Zaman, will be the guest speakers.
Second session “Election 2013 & Media” will be presided by Senior Journalist Mehmood Sham, and Editor Jang Nazir Laghari, Senior Columnist Idrees Bakhtiar, Ex Secretary APNS Dr Jabbar Khatak, Director Current Affairs Express News Mazhar Abbas, Society for Media Alternative Mazhar Arif, BBC Muhammad Hanif, and Anchor Awaz News Shoukat Zardari will be the guest speakers.–Staff Reporter
